Jiangxi Xinhuanghai Medicine Food Chemical Co., Ltd, formerly known as Shanghai Huanghai Pharmaceutical Factory, was established in Shanghai in the early 1970s. It is a domestic state-owned enterprise specializing in the production of gluconic acid series products such as gluconolactone and calcium gluconate, and has been commended by Shanghai for many times. Over the years, three sales subsidiaries in Shanghai have established well-known lactone brands including Greenzhou Tofu King, Lolo brand bean curd King, and Warhorse Lactone. Therefore, Xinhuanghai owns considerable status in the industry. Due to corporate development needs and system changes, the factory was moved to Zhangshu City, Jiangxi Province, which has a reputation as a Chinese pharmaceutical capital, and was renamed "Jiangxi Xinhuanghai Food Co., Ltd." in 2019. The factory covers an area of 110,000 square meters, with an annual output of 8,000 tons.
